SF Sketch Crawl - Dolores Park
I participated in the Sketch Crawl for the first time today. The weather was beautiful and I met a lot of nice people! So many skilled artists around SF o_O; We were about 60 people walking around doing sketches. The weather was beautiful and I had a great time!

'Brushes' for iphone
A colleague from work showed me another painting tool for the iphone. It's called 'brushes' and for my taste it feels even better than painting with 'colors'. The undo function is faster and it supports variable zoom levels. I have the feeling that it's more stable than 'colors' too. 'colors' freezed a couple of times but I didn't have trouble with 'brushes' yet. You have to change the opacity of the brush manually. I guess it's a matter of taste. Both are totally worth the 5 bugs.
Here is a little test with 'brushes'.

iphone with stylus
I recently bought colors from the AppStore for my iPhone. They ported the software from the NDS. It's pretty much the same application as on the ds which is amazing.
The Opacity can be controled by tilting your iPhone. It has an undo function (which takes forever but I guess they'll fix it in the next version).
Since it's hard to paint with your fingers I bought the Pogo Stylus. It's one of the more expensive models (around 20$) but after reading reviews I found out that the cheaper pens have annoying delays. The stylus arrived yesterday! It's amazing and the opacity control with the iphone tilting works perfectly!
The guys from colors did again a great job! Here is my first iphone colors attempt.

Glowing Rabbit
Yesterday I went to an art supply store and bought some acrylics. It's been a long time since I used traditional media and this was my first time with acrylics.
So I started a painting based on a speed paint I made a couple of weeks ago.
The question mark turned out to be a glowing rabbit ^^.
Smooth gradients seem to be quiet difficult with acrylics T.T
Anyways I had a lot of fun so be prepared to see more traditional work from me in the future ^^
