ohhhh you clever monkey goro! :D something feels to clean about the animation... maybe if there was just a hint of anti-aliasing to just soften the edges. it feel like a 60hz LCD HDTV right now, dope idea though :) so clever and use of inspiration!
Martin: It was actually intended to be as clean as possible. I wanted it to stick out of the painting a bit otherwise it would look like a standard hand animated gif animation. Wanted to do something new.
Matt: Bingo! It is indeed maya ncloth both for the dress and the hair, rendered and composed in after effects, exported back into photoshop to create the gif. Good observation :D
