A Surprise Gift!

A few days ago one of my best friends from Germany (Felix) came to visit and brought me this amazing surprise gift. We started drawing on this piece of cardboard when we used to be room mates working together on a short film about 8 years ago. By the time we were moving on separate ways this piece was only 60% done. There was still a lot of empty space to cover. I wanted to take it with me but Felix told me that he wants to finish it cause most of the drawings were mine and he wanted to contribute more to it. My good friend and mentor Stephan also contributed with a few drawings. Years went by and I totally forgot about this piece and now he brought it back to me "finished"!!! It felt like opening a time capsule. I love it!

 Thanks Felix!

23rd World Wide SketchCrawl

Saturday was the 23rd World Wide SketchCrawl. The San Francisco crawl took place in the Presidio. It was a bit windy but still a great crawl. Lookin forward to the next one.

My Sketches from the crawl:

Talented co-worker Lindsey Olivares did a sketch of me on Saturday's SketchCrawl. I think she captured my "drawing in the sun face" pretty well ^^
Thanks Lindsey!!!

22nd SketchCrawl

So yesterday was the 22nd world wide SketchCrawl. We met up at the Portsmouth Square in China Town for sketching. The weather was great, a bit weired cause it was very cold in the shadow and super hot in the sun. I'm glad that I brought enough layers ^^.
It was an awesome crawl! I also took some video footage. I'll post it soon so stay tuned!

21st Sketch Crawl

I went to the 21st Sketch Crawl yesterday. It was such a beautiful day by 20°C. I started sketching with my buddies Erwin, Chin and Joe at the ferry building and went to the meet up at the De Young Museum. Around 70 people joined sketch crawl yesterday. Here's a selection of the sketches I did yesterday.

The Viatnamese food in the evening was really good! ^^v

Sketches...

Just another sketchbook page...
As you can obviously see I recently watched Surf's Up. I liked the movie very much...The characters were fantastic and the environments and waves were like o_O;
I also liked the documentary style of story telling. Worked surprisingly nice. I'd say it's a must see!

Sketchbook pages....

Damn those mosquitos...
I was stung by them several times today.

Dear Mosquitos,
I don't mind if you take my blood. You can take as much as you want but please don't use the itching poison. :(
